Our SPE’s can be provided in a virtual, blended, and in-person format.

Students will be provided a real world scenario in relation to their SHSM sector, and will then be in encouraged to design, build and code a working prototype utilizing constructs of the Design Thinking Process (DTF) to solve that problem.
FAQ - Questions & Answers
The structure of our SPE includes us initially coming to the respective school in person/virtual to onboard our SPE with the educator and students.
From there we provide instruction and proctor the class based on our syllabus outline for the SPE i.e drone design and build in semester 1 / year 1 or the drone design and code in semester 2 year 2.
Once a course has been proctored by us and successfully shown to an instructor once; they are then certified to teach our SPE year to year with our remote attendance year to year via google meets or zoom.
Instructors are then encouraged to sign up to experiential learning activity where we bring the students in the field to participate in a real life case study.
Purchase of our drones or equipment can be done post successful instructor certification from our courses.
As part of the SHSM program, students must complete at least one Sector Partner Experience (SPE). SPEs are learning opportunities which are closely linked with the student’s chosen sector in SHSM. SPEs can be delivered in different ways which suit the industry, skills, and students involved.
Our SPE’s are designed to last 2 / 2.5 days long.
Post completion of a SPE students and educators are invited on/offsite to experience a real life case study with us. We are partnered with several large multinational corporations; which include airlines, manufacturers, agriculture corporations, construction and construction.
In our experiential learning component students get to apply real life application with theory and practical elements covered in class.
Note: Experiential learning components can not be used for CO-OP hours.
Some of our activities include:
- Tour of an airline aircraft flight line
- Tour of an aircraft manufacturing plant (RPAS or Fixed Wing General Aviation)
- Application of autonomous drone inspections
Please consult us for the full list.
In general we advise educators to ensure they have a minimum of 20 registered students before we proceed.
We will sometimes make exceptions where we will allow 8/10 students for initial registration.
We require 30 days advanced notice with a PO.
In special circumstances we will permit & allow a minimum of 2 weeks notification prior to registration.
