Definitions: (1) Sugu’s Drone Refresher & Support Program & (2) 24-Month Recency

Sugu’s Drone Refresher & Support Program refers to our comprehensive, ground-up support initiative designed to enhance and sustain drone pilot proficiency. The program offers a suite of services including flight following support, expert consultation, access to specialized applications, one-on-one and ongoing virtual mentoring through scheduled calls, digital logbook management, and preventative maintenance diagnostics coordination. This program is tailored to ensure pilots receive continuous support and up-to-date knowledge to safely and effectively operate their drones.

24-Month Recency refers to the regulatory requirement for drone pilots to maintain and update their knowledge and skills within a 24-month period following the issuance of their pilot certificate. To remain compliant and legally operate a drone, pilots must complete one of the following activities within this timeframe:

Successfully completing a flight review, such as the one offered here.
Retaking and passing either the basic or advanced operations exam.
Participating in a relevant training activity, which could include:
- Attending a safety seminar sponsored by Transport Canada Civil Aviation.
- Completing a recurrent drone training program offered by a drone flight school.
- Engaging in a self-study program endorsed by Transport Canada.

This ensures that pilots remain current with industry standards and best practices, contributing to the safe operation of drones.

Free Access to Drone Centre for regulation compliance : Our Drone Centre serves as a valuable hub for resources, updates, and information pertinent to drone pilots. As a refresher program subscriber, you will enjoy complimentary access to this resource.
SFOC Processing Assistance: We will provide assistance with processing new or active SFOC’s
SOP Development: We will assist you with creation of your companies SOPs from the ground up
