Drone training may be more attainable than students expect. Based on your circumstances and qualifications, program expenses may be covered through military education benefits, rehabilitation assistance, installment payment plans, or other authorized programs.
Klarna Payment Options
Klarna may be available at checkout for students who want a more flexible way to pay for drone training. Depending on approval and available terms, Klarna may offer interest-free installment plans or low-interest financing options over approximately 6 to 12 months. This can help make training more accessible for students who want to begin now and manage payments over time.
Veterans Education Support
Previous Canadian Armed Forces personnel may qualify to apply Veterans Affairs Canada education benefits toward authorized training courses. This assistance is typically accessible to qualifying veterans who satisfy VAC’s service criteria, including specific honourably discharged personnel and Supplementary Reserve personnel.
Often, qualified candidates must submit applications within the designated timeframe following their discharge or transfer date. Certain veterans may receive prolonged access based on their discharge date and VAC program guidelines.
Getting Started
Students should start by accessing or establishing a My VAC Account and completing the necessary education benefit application through Veterans Affairs Canada. After funding qualification is verified, students can proceed with the program funding request and submit the necessary invoice or documentation.
Following approval and payment completion, students can start onboarding, finish the online ground school, study for the Transport Canada drone examinations, and participate in the practical flight training and flight review section of the program.
Apply Early
Funding confirmations are not always instant, so students are advised to begin the process as soon as practical. Program availability and enrollment cutoffs may expire before funding is secured, so advance preparation is highly advised.
CAF personnel, veterans, and RCMP veterans may also reach out to Veterans Affairs Canada directly for further guidance.
Manulife Rehabilitation Services
Certain students may access training assistance through Manulife Rehabilitation Services. Candidates should communicate with their case manager to verify whether drone training may be eligible, what degree of assistance is obtainable, and how invoicing or sponsorship should be managed.
Other Funding Sources
Students who may be eligible for assistance through another organization, employer, rehabilitation service, or education assistance program are encouraged to reach out. We can supply the documentation required for enrollment, invoicing, and funding confirmation.
